Tuga is a bodily state that does not seek movement. It is a condition without acceleration, not without weight. Tuga is the silence between two exhales. It is the force of a body trying to inhale. Tuga is the space between people that grows with proximity. Tuga is the sound of footsteps that no one hears, yet everyone feels. Tuga is a storm without rain. Tuga is an explosion in space.

Tuga is a constant whose mass is measured by the amount of fragments of a disintegrating soul. Its quantity is influenced by the characteristics of the person who grieves and the environment in which they are situated. Periods of slow grieving are marked by gaps between the layers of a person or between generations.

 

The presentation will be followed by an audience discussion facilitated by Nika Arhar, Jaka Bombač and Nina Ramšak Marković. The event is part of the Klovnbuf Laboratory project, dedicated to supporting circus works in the making.
