nowhere is a dance collage of images and stories that dissolves the boundaries between reality and imagination.

By combining dance and object manipulation, the piece creates a multi-layered stage language inspired by surrealist art.

At the heart of nowhere lies the power of dreaming—as a means to adopt new perspectives, break free from fixed ideas, and view the world with childlike curiosity.

Transformation and impermanence are central themes. nowhere explores the constant metamorphosis of our bodies and surroundings.

In a world that demands clarity, nowhere advocates for ambiguity, curiosity, and the courage to see reality from different perspectives.

Especially in times of uncertainty and negativity, dreaming becomes an essential force—one that drives us, inspires us, and gives us hope.

Because only those who dream can create new worlds!

About the Author:

After a professional rhythmic gymnastics career, Cristiana continued the study of ballet and contemporary dance. She was selected to join as a trainee the Aterballetto Company, directed by Mauro Bigonzetti, and received several scholarships (e.g. at “Merce Cunninghum Studio”, “Peridance Center” in New York).

She joined Botega Dance Company (IT), J.K. Tyl Theater Pilsen (CZ) and, for nine years, Balletto dell’Esperia (Turin, IT), dancing principal roles. She danced pieces by Enzo Celli, Michele Pogliani, Bronislav Rosnos, Alena Peskova, Libor Vaculík, Inmacolada Rubio, Hervè Costa, Eugenio Scigliano, Laura Corradi, Paolo Mohovich, among others.

Since 2010, Cristiana has been based in Berlin, taking part in different productions and projects as a dancer and a choreographer. Among others, she joined the Berliner Ensemble, dancing in the piece Menschen, Orte und Dinge, and presenting her own works in international theatres and festivals.
