The 14th edition of Klovnbuf Festival will have two sections. This year’s theme is SEEKING BALANCE – between sky and earth, between circus and other genres, between the normality of yearning and the abnormality of being, of living. In the post-pandemic world, the little man is completely lost, so it is necessary to find a new balance of power, focusing on human virtues, values, skills, abilities, imagination, body, mind, and heart.  

As every year, the festival offers live and attractive compilation of different languages of contemporary circus, rarely seen in Slovenia, at different locations in Ljubljana. Together, they form a true circus trail that leads from Fužine Castle, Tabor Park, Congress Square (Kongresni trg), Skala Center, Dance Theatre Ljubljana to the Old Power Station - Elektro Ljubljana. In both sections Klovnbuf will offer performances of the most attractive domestic and foreign artists. While the first section of the festival will focus on international artists, the second section will promote Slovenian artists in contemporary circus and other genres. In addition to performances, the programme will include presentations of works in progress, a residency programme, and specialized workshops. Along with top-notch contemporary circus skills, Klovnbuf will bring to Ljubljana's summer stages, city squares and platforms all the things we have missed most: magic, virtues, illusion, and dedication that brings a new balance to the search of equilibrium. If it is circus time, it is circus time for everyone!
